Guidelines

Please come to each session having read in advance the selection and please bring to the session your xeroxed copy of the reading; this will greatly facilitate discussion on the part of those of us who do not have photographic memories, and thus elevate considerably the level of discussion across the board! For those who have misplaced the copy given to you (!), and for other interested parties, there is a copy of the reading on Reserve in the library under General Psychology Honors. Indeed, Honors Section members are expected to come to each session prepared to discuss the assigned readings, since one of the primary benefits of this class is in the discussion. Also, come prepared to involve yourself in the operation of numerous data-collection devices, as well in the brainstorming of a possible study that the Honors Section could do. Honors Section members are allowed one absence. Absences beyond one will result in a meeting with the course instructor and in possible dropping from the Honors Section.  Keep in mind that if this happens, absolutely no other negative repercussions will occur on the instructor's part relating to your work in the regular section of the course.

These guidelines have been established to ensure as high a quality learning experience as possible (given the contraints) for all who are involved, as well as to ensure participatory equity across individual participants. Above all let us come to the Honors Section prepared to stretch ourselves beyond what we are used to or comfortable with!
