NORTH NEWTON, KAN. – Lacey Pfannenstiel, a senior at Hays High School, has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at Bethel College.
A 5'2" midfielder, Pfannenstiel earned Honorable Mention in the Western Athletic Conference and was on the All-Academic Team as a junior.
In addition to her accolades on the field, Pfannenstiel is a member of the National Honor Society, serving as HHS vice president. She is also a member of the Catholic Youth Organization and is her class representative.
A member of the High Honor Roll and winner of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, Pfannenstiel is an exemplary student.
After touring Bethel, she said, “I knew it was the perfect fit for me. Coach [Tony] Turini seems like a great coach. I’m excited to be playing in the next level, and the girls really made me feel welcome.”
“Lacey is an attacking-minded midfielder who will help our team transition from defense into the attack quickly,” Turini said. “We are very excited that she has chosen to come to Bethel and wants to be a part of building a successful program here.”
