Five art majors featured in final gallery exhibit of year

NORTH NEWTON, KAN.– Those who like ceramics will especially enjoy the annual Bethel College Senior Art Exhibit this year.

The show, featuring five seniors, opened May 3 in the Fine Arts Center Gallery.

Showing both functional ceramics and ceramic sculpture are:

Leah Clark, Manhattan, who will graduate next fall with a degree in art. She is the daughter of  Diane and Scott Clark.

Lauren Franz, Hesston, who will graduate May 19 with a degree in art. She is the daughter of Janet and Raymond Franz.

John Regier, Beatrice, Neb., who will graduate this summer with degrees in art and biology. He is the son of Gaylord and Marcia Regier.

Grady Stultz, Goessel, who will graduate May 19 with a degree in art. He is the son of Harold and Jennifer Stultz.

In addition, Andrew Unruh, Valley Center, is showing photography. He will graduate May 19 with a degree in art. He is the son of Allan and Dalene Unruh.

The five are students of David Long, professor of art, Rachel Epp Buller, assistant professor of art, and Gail Lutsch, professor emeritus of art.

The seniors’ exhibit will be open through May 19. There will a reception for the artists May 17 from 6-8 p.m. outside the gallery, as part of the commencement weekend celebration. The public is welcome.

Regular gallery hours are Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 2-4 p.m. There is no admission charge.
