Kauffman Museum offers special thematic tours for school classes from K-6, based on school curriculum. An outstanding collection of mounted animals and birds and the prairie reconstruction allow close-up examination of an extensive range of species.
The Museum also lends objects for demonstration in the classroom and has a number of "teaching kits" for checkout at no charge.
Year-round programming includes Sunday-Afternoon-at-the-Museum lectures and Kauffman Kids & Friends programs and Celebrate Kansas Day!
Eight day camps--Uncle Carl's Camps-- are scheduled in the months of June and July.
For information about school tours or teaching kits, contact the Curator of Education, Andi Schmidt Andres.
