Fine arts awards
As a liberal arts institution, Bethel College encourages students to remain involved in a variety of pursuits. Continue to cultivate your creativity at Bethel through art, music, theater, and forensics. Scholarships are available in each of these performance areas.
Performance awards in the arts are based on an audition or evaluation of a portfolio. Auditions and evaluations can be scheduled during any campus visit. For specific information on auditions and interviews, please contact your admissions counselor.
Performance awards, ranging from $2,000 to $4,500 per year and based on the rating (e.g., 1, 2 or 3) earned in an audition, are awarded in the following areas:
Athletic awards
Bethel College offers athletic awards for participation in all varsity sports: basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and volleyball. Athletic awards vary and are determined by the respective coach and the athletic director. To renew any athletic award, participation in the sport is required each year.
Combining Awards
An academic award and no more than two fine arts / athletic awards can be stacked, based on the following qualifications and not to exceed the amount of tuition:
- A combination of two athletic performance awards may not exceed $6,200.
- A combination of two fine arts performance awards may not exceed $6,000.
- A combination of one fine arts award and one athletic performance award may not exceed $6,200.
