Broadway at Bethel 2012

Broadway at Bethel is a fun-filled and intense week of instruction in vocal music, dance, acting techniques and technical stage work. Your efforts will come to center stage at the end of the week in the production of a Broadway musical.
Cost and Registration
- $435 for students residing on campus (includes lodging in air-conditioned modular apartments, meals in the dining hall, instruction fees, production materials, a camp T-shirt and two tickets to the production on June 24 at 2 p.m.).
- A deposit of $100 must accompany the completed registration form with the balance of the fee due at registration. This deposit is not refundable after May 30.
- Scholarships are available based on financial need (see registration form for more details).

Camp Features
- Production of a Broadway musical on a college stage.
- Instruction by professionals who bring with them years of theater experience.
- A unique opportunity to prepare and present a full-length production in one week.
- Evening activities such as talent shows, movies and a dance.
Faculty
- Cathy Crispino (chorus director) is a Bethel alumna who teaches vocal music at Lawrence (Kan.) High School.
- Dr. John McCabe-Juhnke (stage director) is the Nelson W. and Gladys I. Krehbiel Distinguished Chair in speech and forensics at Bethel College.
- Dr. Annette Thornton (choreographer) has a doctorate in theater from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is assistant professor and director of musical theater at Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant. She lived in Newton for 17 years where she taught French at Newton High School, was owner and artistic director of Newton Dance Center and choreographed/directed at Bethel College.
- Rich Toevs (accompanist) is rehearsal and staff accompanist for Bethel College.
- Megan Tyner (technical director) has a B.F.A. in theater from Wichita State University and is director of theater at Bethel College.
- Toby Tyner (technical director) is a 2007 Bethel graduate and associate director of development at Bethel College.
Bethel College reserves the right to change the Broadway at Bethel faculty as necessary.
