LINDSBORG — Bethel College golf coach Gregg Dick was named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference co-coach of the year for the 2006-07 season.

Dick, in his fourth season with the Threshers, led the team to its highest finish in conference play this season, taking third in both the regular-season final standings and the conference tournament.

The Threshers qualified for Region IV play for the first time in school history.

Dick shares the honor with Southwestern coach Brad Sexson, who led the Moundbuilders to both the regular-season and conference tournament titles.

Southwestern is ranked 25th in the latest NAIA poll.

Bethel’s Cole Esau received All-KCAC honors, taking sixth in the overall conference standings.

Newton graduate Patrick Fulton, who plays at Southwestern, also was named to the first team, taking fourth in the final standings.
