Golf Classics
Each year, the Golf Committee of the Alumni Council plans and hosts two golf tournaments for alumni and friends of the college – one in late summer and another in early fall. All golfers are welcome.
The tournaments, known as Thresher Golf Classics, promote fellowship and support the college through the Alumni Association. “Threshers” refers to Mennonite wheat farmers who were founders of the college in 1887. Today it is the name given to the college athletic teams.
The Bethel College Athletic Department also sponsors a fund-raising golf tournament in spring, separate from the two tournaments planned and hosted by the Alumni Association.
Summer Golf Classic
Saturday, August 9, 2008The Bethel College Summer Golf Classic and Barbecue 2008 is scheduled for Saturday, August 9, at Henderson Municipal Golf Course, 401 South 15th Street, Henderson, Nebraska. Play is in the morning, following by a lunch for players, alumni and community members.

Fall Golf Classic
Saturday, September 13, 2008The Bethel College Fall Thresher Golf Classic is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Hesston Municipal Golf Park, 520 Golf Course Drive, Hesston, Kansas. Play is in the morning, followed by a lunch for players and hosts.
Unlike the pattern of previous years, the 2008 fall tournament will be held the second Saturday of the month, rather than the third.
