Maybe their Bethel experience helped them leave with open eyes, and then when they had a chance to look around, they said, I can make the world a better place.

Alumni Banquet

Founded in 1894, the Bethel College Alumni Association has held annual banquets since 1896.

The association again invites all alumni and friends of the college to this longtime annual event.

The 2014 banquet is scheduled two weeks later than has been the tradition, and at a new time, 12-2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, in Jolliffe Auditorium in Memorial Hall, and is part of this year’s Alumni Weekend.

Following a delicious buffet meal, the program will include special recognition of the Golden Anniversary Class of 1964--which will walk into Memorial Hall together--and presentation of the 2014 Outstanding Alumnus and Distinguished Achievement awards to exceptional graduates. This year’s other reunion classes will also be recognized: 1959, 1954 and those in the Heritage Classes of 1949 and earlier years.

Reunion classes sit together at the banquet. Seating for others is open. Discount price is $22.50 per person if paying by May 23, $25 regular price May 26–28. For reservations, contact Thresher Bookstore in Shultz Student Center, 316-284-5205. Payment or credit card information is required when the reservation is made. No refunds can be given after May 30, since after that the Alumni Office will have been charged for reserved meals.

A reception with this year’s Alumni Association award recipients will follow the banquet.
