Performance awards
As a liberal arts institution, Bethel College encourages you to remain involved in a variety of pursuits. Therefore, in addition to an academic scholarship, you may also be eligible to earn scholarships in fine arts, athletics and communications.
Fine arts awards
Continue to cultivate your creativity at Bethel through art, music, theater and forensics. Scholarships are available in each of these performance areas. Performance awards, ranging from $2,000 to $4,500 per year, are based on an audition or evaluation of a portfolio. Contact your admissions counselor to schedule your auditions and evaluations during any campus visit. For specific information on requirements, see the links below.
Athletic awards
Bethel College offers athletic awards for participation in all varsity sports: basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and volleyball. Athletic awards vary and are determined by the respective coach and the athletic director. To renew any athletic award, participation in the sport is required each year.
Communication awards
Bethel College offers communication awards ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 for participation in newspaper, yearbook, forensics, radio and video production. For specific information and interviews, please contact your admissions counselor. For specific information on requirements, see the links below.
Combining awards
Up to two fine arts, athletic or communications awards may be combined with an academic scholarship.
Departmental awards
As a liberal arts institution, Bethel College encourages you to remain involved in a variety of pursuits. Therefore, in addition to an academic scholarship, you may also be eligible to earn a $2,000 to $5,000 scholarship from one of the following academic departments:
- chemistry
- health sciences
- history
- psychology
Combining awards
One departmental award may be combined with an academic scholarship.
