Throughout the school year, the FAC Gallery features exhibits by local, regional, national and international artists, including Bethel alumni, in all types of media. Exhibits are normally on display for 3–4 weeks and generally include a public reception for the artist sometime within that time frame. Moreover, visiting artists occasionally give lectures, meet with classes or conduct workshops with students.
The last two exhibits of the school year are traditionally the Student Art Exhibit, featuring the work of students in all Bethel art classes, and the Senior Art Exhibit, the culminating show for graduating art majors.
Admission to the FAC Gallery is free. Normal gallery hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 2–4 p.m. Sunday. The gallery is closed during school breaks and holidays and in the summer.
This fine arts endowment was established at Bethel College in memory of Milford E. Greer, Jr., a native of Geuda Springs, Kan., and brings visiting artists and scholars to the campus in the areas of music, visual arts or theater.
